Hi, I would like some advice on which one of these gun is best to go for, if any body has one of these guns. If you could post a quick review, goods and bads etc... would be great thanks.

So, someone I know is selling an New Invert Mini special edition for £160. I also have been wanting a new SLG 10 which I can for £165. As this will be my first gun I need to pick the right one. However I have been looking at reviews on both, they both have amazing reviews, however the mini seems more complicated than the SLG, to clean and maintain.. etc..

Just wondering which one you would go for?

to be honest if i were you i would save up a little more and buy either an etek or a previous model ego as they are much simpler to strip down and maintain and great guns to get you motivated and into the sport

they also have much better reliability than both the guns that you are considering, i know this hasn't really answered your questin but i thought i should give you my oppinion (wish i had started with an etek ratherthan my mini :(, i had various problems throughout it's short time with me and then upgraded to an etek 2 and not a single broken ball for nearly two years of use)

hope this helps

I have not tried playing with one of them yet, I will ask the person selling the Mini, no doubt they will be ok with that. However not sure about the SLG. I will have to ask around when I go to the next few walk ons.

mini vs slg

its right what others have said about personal choice on these markers, but a few of our team have had mini's and slg's

mini's: 2 have been used by our team to date both ate batteries really quick and both have suffered with the spring near the bolt having to be replaced ? didnt require much to be spent to fix but the owners havn't raved about performance and 1 has been sold 1 kept as spare

slg's: 3 have been used by the team and were cheaper to buy than the mini's, only problem with 1 of the slg's was when a lucky board went down and replaced with a stock board for £10 + postage so cheap fix, all 3 slg's have been kept as back up markers, as long as you use decent grease these markers have performed very well for the money! i spent more on a loader than an slg:D
just make sure you get a marker with a clamp feedneck and asa if possible makes life easier

I have never heard of this happening before, and Ive been around a LOAD of minis, and for a few years. Not saying you didnt have a problem, Im just saying I dont think its a common one :)

i too have owned, shot and been around many minis and the only reason the spring may cause an issue is when its put on the wrong way when people have taken the gun apart.

Mini is the better option over the slg for me, more bang for your buck.

Personally would much prefer the mini - my teamate shoots one and has never had an issue with it. BUT try one first, as some find the small body size a little awkward to hold....

so they eat batteries then?

no one has defended that they dont eat batteries ?:D
the spring was replaced either too weak or too strong tension?, like i say simple fix only a spring but i'm only recounting what the owners have reported about them
