Hi everyone,

I went paintballing yesterday with my proto slg ul 09, I hadnt used it since easter this year and when I tried to fire the gun for some reason, after every 10 to 15 shots, my gun would stop firing. There was a blinking green light was on the handle of the gun. To fix the problem, I had the re-cock the gun by pressing the bleed button and the gun would work fine after that, until another 10-15 shots were fired and the whole thing would repeat itself.

If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it. Just as a side note, I had put in a new battery that morning, had cleaned the eye out properly before hand, and the tank had plenty of air in it.

Thanks again in advance.

Blinking green = eye malfunction.

Clean out both eyes again and (sparingly) lube up the bolt with dye grease. Make sure that the bolt is returning to its default position after each shot; look down the feedneck and you should see an empty breach. If the bolt is not returning to its default position, you will see the front tip blocking the breach when looking down the feedneck.

If the latter is true, this means that the bolt is not catching on the sear properly therefore confusing the eyes into thinking that there is something in the breach (hence the blinking green LED error).

Alternatively, switch off the eyes (power on first then press and hold the second button until LED blinks red) and fire away. If you are experiencing the same problem when the eyes are off, then this would confirm that there is something wrong with the bolt as opposed to the eyes themselves.
