Hey,

SLG's are a pain in the ass, I must say. It must be a board problem. Perhaps you can film the problem so we can get a sense of the ROF drop?

Also, the ROF will go below what you've set it to with eye's on, you're not going to be hitting 30BPS with eye's on. What do you mean by "very slow", 5bps, 10bps or lower?

Tried changing the battery? An obvious one, I know, but it helps :)
Remember to use brand new alkaline or better, NOT rechargeables.

set DIP switch 1 to OFF (pull it down to set it to OFF). This bascially returns the SLG UL to factory default.....semi-auto @15bps; dwell @10ms & trigger sensitivity @ 5. Test with eyes on and seee if it resolves your problem.

Failing that, it may be a board problem. You can either send it back to DYE to convince them to replace it for you or get one yourself - either a stock one or a Virtue one - and install it yourself.

It's not a massively hard job to replace the board. The only annoyance is disconnecting all the wires from the PCB!

PCB: printe circuit board.

Are you dry-firing with air?

given that the SLG UL is no longer in production, acquiring a spare stock board will be hard - even more so on the 2nd hand market.

your only viable options are to contact DYE directly for a replacement (you'll obviously have to pay for it if you cant convince them that the board became faulty of its own accord) or get yourself a Virtue board for the SLG UL.

A brand new Virtue board will set you back around £100 brand new or £60-£70 2nd hand. Probably not worth it if you bought the SLG UL 2nd hand in the 1st place.

you might get lucky on ebay.co.uk/ebay.com but as of right now, only the virtue SLG UL boards are available.

Virtue Board's are extremely gay, had HUGE trouble with my Alias board & them.

Anyway, ring up Dye and see if they'll replace the actual gun, it happened with my friend when there was a constant leak on the gun, but he had to pay £40 aswell as sacrifice his SLG to them.

Ringing DYE is the only option...

the board was dead, thank you all for the replies. its been replaced by dye, although i had to cough out £30 :(

the problem with the slow ROF with eyes on i have just found was something else.... will copy and paste here for anyone else having this problem, it has taken my a long time to find this info.

When I'm playing with my marker at home and cover the eyes it seems to fire really slowly.

As per everyone's favourite super mod Uziel Gal

"The slow rate is due to the board registering an eye fault.

When your marker fires and the bolt retracts, the eye first looks for the chamber to be empty (bolt open and no ball); it then starts to look for a ball to enter the chamber. It will then acknowledge the presence of the ball and allow the marker to fire as soon as the trigger is pulled.

If on the other hand the eye sees that the chamber is constantly blocked, it cannot tell the differnce between the bolt being closed, or open, and whether or not there is a ball ready to fire. It assumes that the eye is faulty, and so reverts to a lower rate of fire in orderto avoid chopping.

In other words, by constantly blocking the eye with your finger, you've caused the board to think that there is an eye fault.

If you want to dry fire your marker, or just click the solenoid, turn the eyes off. If you want to see how fast your marker can really fire, then you need to get out and actually shoot paint; blocking the eyes just isn't the same as shooting paint."
