Hey Guys and galls,

Just looking for some info on what may be wrong with my marker and how i may go about fixing it.
I was using it yesterday for the 2nd time ever and besides a few stupid mistakes on my own behalf the marker was working fine until the last game of the day. I grabbed my Rail, and went out to fire a few before the game started, but when i pulled the trigger, it sounded like it was firing but no paint was coming out, after afew more pulls suddenly about 5 balls came out at once and landed about 5feet away, then it fired afew balls one at a time like i wanted, but they were only going maybe 10feet :(, then nothing again till afew more balls flopped out at once again.
It sounded like my tank was running on empty and it didnt have the pressure behind it to fire the ball out, but my tank was just filled :(

Im after taking it apart and cleaned what i could find and hopefully il find if its working again on Wed at training.

:(

First thing I would do is change the battery mate. If you are using the battery that came with the gun they noutoriously don't last too long and a low battery can cause the symptoms you are describing :)

Yep, those proto branded batteries that they install with dye/proto guns are junk. Always put a new duracell or any good quality battery in there.

To True, I had a proto one in there yesterday morning but changed it straight away to a new Duracell one. This problem happened at the end of the day with the Duracell one, unless that one died on me as well :(

If the batterys not the cause it could be getting starved of air.

The problem with the rail is it does not have an on/off so you have to screw the bottle in as the marker is airing up. It can sometimes be the case that the bottle feels as though it is screwed in due to it airing up, when in fact it isnt and could do with another turn.

It is really hard to tell if this is the case though. One of the best things you can do to see if this is the case is to degass the tank and then screw it all the way in. Fill your tank with it screwed in and see if this resolves the issue. For future reference take note of where say the fill nipple or gauge is when it is screwed fully in so you know in the future when you scew the tank in gassed up if it is fully screwed in.

Even if it not the cause I would suggest you invest in something like an NDZ thread saver on/off. It allows you to screw your tank in without restistance and then air the marker up.

It's the battery. Mine died 2 times in one day. It was about 40 Deg out but should that kill 2 batteries. I changed it after about 7-900 shots. Then again after about 400 shots. It really doesn't make sense for this to happen. if it continues ill have to get a new gun. One solid day of playing should be reasonable with out having to change the battery.

@ Justin Walls, Dont use Rechargable batteries. New Batteries should be put in at the start of every playing day.
