Hey, just picked up a PM5 off the forums, everything seems to be working fine except when I turn it on there is an intermittent flashing Orange on the LED. Now according to this manual that means a low battery. Ive now tried 3 batteries in there, the one that came in it (presumably old) and two brand new out of the box Energizers...

It doesnt seem to be affecting the cycling of the gun (though I have only been dry firing with the eye off so far) but I couldnt find any information on what could be causing this problem. If anyone has any help they can offer me, please reply. I need to have the gun in full working order for the NSPL tomorrow.

Thanks in advance guys :)

Tom

I tried looking on PbN's proto bit but you need to be a member to use the search facility and the signup system is buggered it seems. I wasnt up for sifting through 40 odd pages of threads entitled "Check out my agg gat" :-/

Whilst s1im has many many gats, nearly all of them are LP operation I think - sadly I have a HP reg :p lol

At the risk of sounding obvious, why not call Jeff at Dye Europe? Dye/Proto have a policy of standing by their products and even if he can't fix it I know he'll be able to offer some advice.

Ah Chuck, you're a life saver mate. Nice one. I imagine its something relatively straight forwards, I'll ask Rachel to have a quick look at it for me to see if anything is different to her's as Im not really sure what to look for problem wise.

With regard to calling up Proto I thought I'd just see if there was any useful advise floating around on these forums, that is - after all - what the techroom is for.

Thanks for all the helps guys.

Bring it over tomorrow and I'll have a look mate, you might wanna grab that spare board as I don't have any left at the moment. :)
