Hey guys,

Anyone out there using the New Axis goggles? If so any chance of pics of the goggles in real life rather than the release "perfect" shots. Also any kind of feedback or review would be great.

Many thanks

Bob

will have a full review for you on monday after training

First impressions are extremley good

Lens change is as easy as the previous model, goggles feel solid without being heavy. Design is really really nice (big improvement over non cut down last year models).Face plate is soft so i reckon there could be a few bounces there, really good fit as well with plenty of protection.

Proto's done a real good job on these.

have to agree, this mask is awesome, really comfy, the faceplate is soft i find balls dont bounce on the nose/mouth portion of the faceplate but they seem to bounce alot on the sides, the lense change is really easy and when putting back together you dont get any dirty fingers on the lense you tried so hard to clean, they look really really good, i can get a pic but my camera phone is sort of broke, i asure you they look as good in real life as they do in the perfect pictures, without a doubt best mask iv had/worn.

Quality pics there chuck

By far the best marker colour;)

So goggles

Used for a full days training including drills and scrimmaging

Firstly these ain't the 05 goggles these are an entirely new goggle using the same principles and lenses.

Swapped lense in the morning - easy as pie as per usual with the proto lense change, all fitted back together with no dramas.

Goggle is everything it appeared, comfortable and light. offered excellent protection to side of head and face, probably one of the best top end masks for coverage, and it also doesn't look like goober rental goggles so thats a real bonus.

Soft mask with vents was great - no bounces but didn't get shot in the face so....................

can hear very clearly with these goggles - on looking into it they have incorporated some fancy system of keeping a nice channel to your ears that allows sound not paint to get to them- very impressed, also the venting allows pretty good speech as well.

goggles didn't move, steam up, cause discomfort or anything throughout the whole day. and thats after a whole lotta running etc in very cold conditions.

My final word is obviously try some for yourself but don't think that proto is the poor relation to dye, they've done a fantastic job of creating an awesome goggle system.

Well chuffed with them
