Hi.

I just got my 1st marker and i want to ask what are some good tips on marker care. I got a 32 Degrees Rebel Extreme.

I looked around on the net and couldnt find any pages with basic marker matinance tips. Like when to clean, how to clean, when to oil, how often, and how to do it.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. Also if there are any good reccomendations on upgrades, or other matinence tips. Thanks

Hello, Rebel, and welcome aboard.

Pretty much all you'll need to do to your gun is wipe down the outside after a day of play, and keep it oiled. You won't need to take it apart for anything, until you blow a seal or something, that is. As far as keeping it oiled, just put a couple drops in your asa, and shoot some air through it after you've wiped it down. Be careful not to drown it in oil, too much is just as bad as not enough, possibly worse. You'll end up with all your o-rings swollen, and one dead gun.

The only thing you would need to bother with as far as upgrades are concerned would be an aftermarket barrel, and possibly look at getting a low-end air system sometime in the future. They're pretty rugged guns, and they really don't need anything else. Most aftermarket stuff for blowbacks are gimmicky anyhow, a quality barrel will be the only thing that'll noticably aid your gun's performance, so try not to get too caught up in all the little extras. Best of luck, my friend.:)

One thing i did for my Spyder Xtra was to replace all the allen (spelling??) Key Bolts with normal ones which you can take out with a screw driver! Makes Stripping and cleaning far easier/quicker!!

Marker maintenance

Don't forget to use ONLY specific paintball/airgun silicon oil. Don't even think about using mineral oils, they will ruin your o-rings.
It's not a bad idea to strip your marker after a day on the field, wipe the internals with damp cloth, then with a dry one. Oil it slightly /as described in above posts/.
