Ego: on what basis is it 'of course'?

**EDIT** Oh i see, you're selling a PM5 aren't you? If you can't give objective advice don't even bother

Game: Price is never a good indication of quality.

I would say Promaster for the fact that there aren't that many available over here, they're pretty easy to strip down (pull pin bolt like an Ego) and they're cheaper brand new but as good as any 'top end' gun. Just because something's Dye/Smart Parts/Proto/Planet doesn't mean it's superior to other markers simply because of it's label, you're more likely to pay more on a PM,DM etc because you're also paying for the brand.

hands down the pm5 cost nearly twice as much when they both came out
Thats just funny.....

Theyr both great guns, Pm5 would be softer on paint though they are larger than they look in pictures and theyr also quite heavy and from my mates experiences arent very reliable either. Promaster is a great allrounder, very small, very fast, very light, very reliable, durable ect ect. There is no doubt I'd go for the promaster. A promaster will perform alongside any other gun on the market with a decent regulator.

how come no one ever slags of a dm5 for being heavy or a dm6

a pm5 is lighter than a dm5 and only about 4 ounces heavyer than a dm6 when it has the same ul frame on not what you would call a heavy weight

as for reliable how hard is it to lube 10-12 o-rings on a bolt at the end of the day not rocket science

but the main reason i would pick one over a promaster is dye support its excellent with lots of very helpfull dye techs up and down the country to help you out if needed
and spares and aftermarket parts are in droves

Its not what i would call heavyweight no but since the market standard is now below 2 lbs i would expect to get atleast that when paying so much.
The words "high end marker" to most people just seems to dictate how much money a gun costs.

Please tell me one reason apart from softness on paint why a pm5 is better than a promaster and if you need a "tech" to service your gun then thats your issue, i can tell you plenty of reasons why the promaster is the better gun.
