Hi everyone.
I have been reading for a while, and thought that it is time to set up my own account to get some advice and pointers for paintballing.

I am a complete newbie to paintballing, I have been around 4 times in my life (18 years old), using all rental equipment. As of 28th August, I am going 4 times in five weeks and feel the time has come to get myself a mask.

I have looked at Dye I4 and Proflex Revolution. The proflex revolution is taking my fancy at the moment. This is because of the big field of vision, I have heard good things about them not fogging, and they are around £25 cheaper than the I4's.

What are your opinions on these masks?

Both are excellent masks, what it comes down to is personal preference. I prefur the proflex revolution over the i4 due to the fact that i think its more comfy to wear over pro-longed amounts of time, better field of vision, bigger range of colours from the proflex frames and faceplates for customization and proflex fits me better than the i4.

But thats opinion.

I think I will probably get the proflex, i'll get it in black though, not white. Seems more...camoflaged.

They're different variations of the same mask.

The proflex platform has been around for years, with the same frames and lenses. The only real differences between models is the faceplate - the original faceplate was flexible, with the flex8 moving to a more rigid structure. The Revolutions are the most recent incarnation (around 2009), moving back to the more flexible faceplate with a bit more of a design. Both the masks you linked are essentially the same mask :) I've had the revolutions before, great mask and a great platform.
