Problems with the mail

Has anyone else tried to send anything by mail and had problems? I have just been into the local post office and they refused to send a gas bottle (empty) because they said that they didnt do it, after phoning up the helpline. Anyone else had problems, and how should I send it?

Being quite the honest upstanding member of the community, I thought that they might like to know that it was a gas bottle, but I was obviously naive enought to think that I could just walk in and get it sent there and then. Bah!

Strange- I've sent loads...though I did get grilled sending something to the Channel islands- said there was a lot of 'suspicious' activity going on there...

ive posted air bottles before, with no probs
just parcel it up and hand it over....they never ask whats in there.

yeah, sent my tippy and gas bottle in the post and said nothing and there was no probs.

i've sent stuff through the post and as dickky will tell you the stuff i sent him looked like a bomb (imagine a fat boy taped up in brown tape and being quite heavy if you will ) no real problem.
