Hey Guys,

Was just wondering if any of you were having trouble with postage...i sent two items on the 9th Feb, one in a packet through royal mail (first class) and the other an envelope popped in the letter box. Both items have still not been received by the buyers  I also just received a letter dated the 8th of Feb and only just received it today...was just wondering if the post is behind for some reason?

Cheers guys,
Alex

Nope just standard first class
Always send using recorded, you can check online whether the buyer has received the item or not. It does'nt cost that much more, less than £1 for peace of mind.

If you send just the first class, then you are putting your trust in the buyer will full honesty that he/she has received or not received the item.

To be fair, recorded is only as good as the postman delivering the item.

I have had items arrive that were recorded but I never had to sign for them. When I then checked the number online after a few days it still said "your item is in transit in our system" or words to that effect...

The only true way to ensure that an item is traceable is to use either RM special delivery or to use a courier such as UPS or City Link where packages are sure to arrive or can be insured against loss if they go walkies, we put an awful lot of trust in royal mail to do what they say they are going to and 9/10 it works, just the odd bit of dishonesty in the world that spoils it sometimes.
