hey guys i have a tippmann 98 custom and im using hpa
the problem that im getting is that after shooting 280 paintballs with a full tank of air it runs out of air quickly
my hpa tank is a 3000psi tank
if it is chrono'd correctly and you can't hear any audible leaks then it may just be a combination of having a small tank and the fact that tippmann guns aren't made to be efficient on air.
if you have air in your tank then gas your gun up in a quiet place and listen for any hissing. if its just a small leak and you are playing long woodsball games then you may not have noticed your pressure going down over a longer period of time.
and remember your tank is warm when its filled and the air is expanded so on first fill even though the pressure is 300psi on the reg when the tank cools it will naturally drop. not being as full as you thought it was
is it overly dangerous to leave a tank filled with air when not in use, say for a few months? im presuming it should be fine as if there where any problems with the tank the burst discs would go, correct?
not at all infact some manufacturers recommend leaving some pressure to "lock" the fill nipple and prevent dirt/dust getting in over time of non use if you lose your nipple cover
yeah friend of mine said same thing that its ok, its in a drawer the other side of the bedroom, just have a fear the bloody thing'll go pop one night and ill **** the bed and have a heart attack lol.
