I was reviewing the site with Carol (The owner) and we are going to trial something new and would like some feedback as to do you all think this is a good idea.

We are going to convert a spare field into a speedball training ground. It will have a fixed full size speedball playing arena with fixed barricades and it will be on a properly turfed and smooth grass surface. These will be the large circular plastic wrapped hay bales which will make them very sturdy but also impact absobing if you slide into them and they will be arranged in such a way to simulate a full speedball field. This also has the advantage that we do not have to set it up, inflate and deflate it as well as clean it at the end of the day. We will build a safe zone "Cube" next to it for people to be in while the play is in progress and we may even be able to have a compressed air source installed next to the playing area.
The innovative bit is this. Teams can hire the training area to practice on. I was thinking of around £10 per head and you can have the training field all day. We would allow the teams to self marshall as they are only training but they would be asked to sign a health and safety disclaimer. So basicly a team of 6 guys could pay £10 each, bring their own paint and dive bottles and practice all day for as long as they wanted for £60. If people need paint we can of course sell them that and equally if they need air we could accomodate that as well.
This is not something we would be aiming at punters and is something we would be aiming fair and square as a resourse for paintball teams to use to practice on.
So what do we think, is this something people would want to use?

i thought pro zone ran on air so wouldnt we be able to use that instead of having to get dive tanks?

Air

Prozone does indeed run on air and we are one of the few sites that have their own compresors. However the £10 a head is because you rent the training field and it is self marshalled and for us to provide the compressors we would need to provide a marshall which would make the whole thing more expensive. What we are offering is that if you need air we will fill your dive tanks or provide you with up to two dive tanks with fill rigs so that you can train and be self marshalled for your training. We are trying to offer this at the most cost effective price in the most flexible way possible so that teams or individual players can just come along and practice.
We can of course offer full air facities and marshalling but the cost would escalate considerably.
