Probably loctited in if your lucky it should be able to remove it with a adjustable spanner or one that is a matching fit size wise i would be difficult to say abit of trial and error me thinks 20mm spanner or about that but thats a guess unfortunately

thanks fella, i've just been reading the loctite thread, i guess i'll go with the hairdyer and hope its not 271 or 638

Loctite 271
Color: Red
Strength: Godlike
Can Be removed with: A good dose of Napalm.
Reccomendations: Use only to lock your mates' barrel into his marker, or something destructive. Dont use it on your marker, or, I promise, someone will laugh at you.

Loctite 638
Color:?
Strength: Very Strong
Can Be Removed With: A Drill
Reccomendation: Use for installing new feednecks. You dont want them to come undone! This is a maximum retaining compound. Once its on, its not comming off. (Thanks to nwarren for bringing that to my attention. I forgot to paste it.)

You may be lucky and they have used the blue loctite (what ever that number is) and it should come out easily thats what i found when i changed some gauges on a timmy.

well that was easier than i thought it would be ... spanners would'nt grip so i clamped the gauge in a vice (with a towel to protect the gun) and it came off a treat ..
