PRESS RELEASE/For Immediate Release
PaintballChannel.Com acquires 68Caliber.com
Strategic move will add a lot of exciting new features to Paintball Channel, Inc's line-up of websites.
PaintballChannel.Com, the paintball industry's leading web portal, announced today the acquisition of the domain name, 68Caliber.com.
"The acquisition of 68Caliber.com is an important strategic move for PaintballChannel.Com for several reasons," said Dale Ford, Vice President of Paintball Channel, Inc. - parent company to PaintballChannel.Com. "First, 68Caliber.com is a perfect compliment to our existing portals - PaintballChannel.Com and FBRadio.com - which ultimately create a single, unbiased web destination that aggregates and organizes all online resources for the paintball community. Second, and just as important, 68Caliber.com carries with it a very recognizable and easily marketable name."
Bryan Gilchrist, site founder of PaintballChannel.Com, explains how the acquisition came about. "A little over two years ago, I had met up with David Holstein, then owner of 68Caliber.com, and had originally offered to purchase the domain from him. But, certain events kept me from doing so. Recently, Mr. Holstein offered it for sale again, and we purchased it. I think both parties are happy with the deal."
Mr. Gilchrist, on the acquisition: "I'm very excited about PaintballChannel.Com acquiring 68Caliber.com. With our proven expertise in implementing paintball portals, I think it will be a perfect addition to our line-up of websites."
"We'll be keeping most of what we'll be doing with 68Caliber.com under wraps for the moment," Gilchrist adds. "But, in the first quarter of 2003, we will unveil what will be 'The New 68Caliber.com'."
Joshua Garrett of Xtraordinary Imagery is currently developing the graphics for the new site.
