my preset is stuck on my asa

ok

at first i thought it could have been because of the cool room i keep my gun in, the metal on the asa could have shrunk and held the preset in place. So i put air in my bottle to make sure there was preasure so that i would be able to unscrew the preset off the asa without unscrewing the bottle, but the bottle starts unscrewing, so am out of ideas

please help me

wot can i do to get it loose

???

The only thing I can suggest is using a rubber strap wrench (boa constrictor) on the preset, if there's enough room to grip, and clamping your marker in a vice if you can, with the body sandwiched between a couple of bits of soft wood and wraped in cloth to prebvent damage to the finish!

If all else fails, take it to a tech!

I've had it happen before, the way i got it off was using the rubber from the strap wrench over the reg and clamping mole grips around the body in such as way as they used the nipple for leverage. Then with a mate holding the body on a table we used the grips as a lever.

I also replaced the nipple straight after just to be sure as that was what took the turning force.

is the bottle empty?

if not, take one end of the macro out & empty it completely

then if you unscrew the bottle at least it'll be ok

If you unscrew the bottle, it might be easier to undo- just be careful not to crap up the reg threads ;).

Good luck!

happened to me a couple of times, i just used a soft vice grip on the reg and turned the marker.

also have seen it done by putting a spanner over the fill nipple and applying brute force and ignorance, but it is up to you if you wanna try it or not.
