it probably just needs a clean out and a a service...dig out the instuctions and have a go if you are confident, if not ask someone who knows what they are doing.

I had my 1.8k disk blow on the way home from the last walk-on I went to. Stripped it down and there was a load of dirt of the piston o-rings :(

Gave it all a good clean up and re-grease and it's been fine (with a new disk in) ever since.

Always sems to be the same sort of thing with these (PMI) systems, my mates was losing pressure gradually and my other mate has had the same thing with the burst disk as me, I think I'll strip it a bit more often than usual to make sure it doesn't happen again

Must get myself a fill nipple cover though...

Cheers, Paul K

hrm

both my 7500psi and 1800psi appear to have holes through them

youve got the nut bit at the top, then under this youve got a cylinder secion wiht the PSI rating, its this bit thats got the hole. then it steps into a smaller cylinder and goes into the preset. both of them look identical....?

ps, im a bit of a noob :p

if your burst disc had burst you'd know all about it! loud bang and air leaking through the hole.
the burst disc is actually a copper disc designed to burst at a given pressure. it is held in with a grub screw with a hole in it. thats probably the hole you can see.
basically if your bottle holds air and it doesnt leak out as fast as you fill it your burst disc is fine.
