Preset 4500 Reg Filling Q...:(

Okay been using a wgp high pressure 4500 preset for a while now no probs, went to fill it today and it is leaking out of a small hole on the reg as soon as you put air into it, it doesnt go away the more air you put in and just drains all the air out. The wierd thing is it was fine like 3 days ago, used all the gas and just left it, went to fill today and not good help please

I don't know the WGP regs specifically, but it sounds like it's venting out of an over-pressure relief, which would indicate the reg seat being leaky or blown. If they're rebuildable, get a spares kit and replace the seat; if not then get it to a WGP tech to fix

I've seen this problem before. I took the circlip out of the back, and cleaned the o'rings underneath.

whats the circlip mate? it seems really tightly screwed onto the bottle aswell, any ideas how to get it off?

If i remember right, at the bottle end there's a circlip inside the threaded bit, you'll have to take the bottle off to see it.

I remember reading that a lot of presets are loctited to the bottles. Something to do with US insurance

That said it is supposed to come off failry easily with a little brute force!

A strapwrench, mousepad, bench vice with soft clamps and some circlip pliars should do the job nicely.
