has anyone tried powercoating mags. Mine is looking a little old and a fancy a little stelthy matt black coating on the grip frame and body

Having spoken to AGD they say as long as you don't coat the point where the grip and body meet or inside the body all should be fine.

but what are your experiances?????

please help before i make a posible mistake on this guys

Thanks

Sin customs operates out of canada.

If i was u I would just spray paint it, can of which costs a fiver from halfords then you will need to coat it with a decent clear varnish, polurethane I think.

You will need to tape off the bottom of the body with masking tape, then stuff newspaer inside it and into the powerfeed.

take your time and use several light coats to build up colour, leave 15minutes between coats. Once you've done this leave for a further 2 hours then apply the varnish in several light coats leaving 15 minutes between coats.

This should cost you a tenner and u will have plenty left so after a year u could strip down the body then respray and varnish.

Good point Dave, I've tried doing the home spraying thing on a couple of old mag barrels and it seemed to work pretty well so long as you spray from a reasonable distance to avoid running.
I used a grey primer as a base as well.
Just think of the selection of colours you have!
