you can buy royal mail post boxes at a fixed price and that includes the postage post... they come flat packed and you just slap them up, slap something in them, and ask them to whack it in the post for you :D quite simple

ALWAYS GO RECORDED!!!!!! Look what happened to me and I paid for recorded. Make sure you fill in all the relevant paperwork and get a tracking number. RM also offer extra insurance, you're only covered for £32 on normal parcels.

when i'm selling on ebay i dont list postage cost, just they pay for what they want. if they want a £500 item posted for a £1 fine but if its knackerd its there own fault where if they want a £100 item packaged next day recorded and the rm people can use it as a football and it still survives its up to them!
surprising how many people will pay an extra £10 or so just for a sheet of bubble and a big box! yellow storage etc sell these things (or you could just pikey from work! ) Ive sent very fragile things (4ft ish carbonfiber heli) and they have arrived spot on!

Yeah...but when you sell something...it is your responsibility to ensure it is insured etc...not the buyers...so, you could lose your ebay account...or and if you have used paypal, have the funds removed from that to compensate teh buyer...seen it happen...for all they know...you might not have posted it...at least you have a receipt and tracking details with teh Signed for and Special services....leaving yourself open to serious loss of cash.
