Poor TonTons

There is a lot of "HATE FRENCH" threads floating around American PB Websites Forums, and unfortunatley the TonTons are getting grief for being French.

Personally i think this sucks, and i have made my point on as many website's i can, Like TJ said in a thread a while back

I had one American friend say outright that his team will not be attending Toulouse

And several others were thinking similar.

Theres enough politics involved in paintball already without starting to involve your governments politics as well

Sorry to say but I think its a bit 'narrow minded' to boycott playing paintball somewhere because of the actions of their government over this subject...

Although saying this I did agree with the decision of the england cricket team to boycott some of the world cup games... but this was a bit different me thinks...

Opinions of a governemnt as most people know are not neccesarily the view or course of action that there population in general would take...

With regard to the Ton Tons being slated because there French!!?? thats just plain dumb... its just like saying all Iraqis are power hungry dictators just because Saddam is?? If we all followed this trail of logic then the world would be a sad place indeed....

Chalk another one up for some of my genius countrymen... ..Burb,if you ever respond to them again heres what you can tell them..By boycotting TonTon impulses you are also boycotting Smart Parts effectively hurting American interests..Last time I checked,the Gardeners were Yanks..Smart Parts is an American company,employing Americans..How does a boycott in this situation hurt the French??Will the French be hurt after this so called boycott??Not in the least bit..And I have about as much faith in US paintballers actually starting a successful boycott as I do Euros actually winning a major event over here or over there..(just some friendly ribbing,be nice)


Now while im particularly pissed at the French governmnet for thier political asinine views on Iraq,Im not boycotting any products..Theres just too many middle men you effectively hurt in the process..But I must say,its really cool when I can tell my girl to put down the Louie Vitton(sp) handbag because thats French and save my credit card a hurting at the end of the month

i wonder if we will see any american teams at the maxs masters then...i mean the german government has the same attitude as the french one, i think(or nearly, im not into politics) and its a german tourney(also its played on an american base). but whats up with toulouse? will there be NO americans playing???? OH! and sup-air fields, they were invented by the french, right? ohoh...i see a drastic change in the american tourney scene coming...either wdp sells more hyperball-fields or they'll go back to the woods.
no bad blood please, i just think that politics should be kept out of sport and that paintballers should still see themselves as a big community.
