Ok, we don’t have all the major USA teams, coz of their agreement with NXL.

But also without the Legion and Nexus this Millennium Series feels a bit like Icaro. Almost touched the sun but then burned.

In my Novice opinion it’s very depressing to watch what it could be a great Paintball season in Europe, become just vulgar.

It’s a shame…

Anxiously expecting what you guys are preparing for us next season.

I think Sergei is playing some of the Millennium as are we (Nexus) but I think the greatest ommission are the Americans.
We were assured by the Millennium Board that many of the American teams would be attending every Millennium event, I was personally assured that at least four or five top American teams would regularly make the trip over and they (a certain member of the Millennium board ) even went as far to tell me these teams had 'signed up' to play.
I just thought it was all bullcr#p and Germany has proved me right with only Dynasty bothering to come across and they end up taking home the money and title....no surprises there.

My distrust at that time of anything the Millennium Board were saying was one of the pivotal reasons I decided that the NPPL was going to be a better bet for a consistent quality of top American opposition.
Sergei seems to have drawn similar conclusions.

At the moment, the board are doing everytihng they possibly can to try and rescue the integrity of X-Ball for reasons I will disclose later....but before I do, I need to get one last piece of this fiasco jigsaw into place............
And I will be calling him later on today :)

If and when I can, I will tell all.....that you can believe !

Just Vulgar?

I think the competition in the millennium series is very strong.

We dont have the NXL teams, beacuse they choosed to not letting there players be able to participate. And trust me they want to!
But we still have a very strong European team base. And Dynasty, Strange, Bushwackers, Paintballgateway, Bad company, etc etc.

In germany alot of the teams couldnt make beacuse of Nppl s7 in vegas the weekend before. Like Russian legion, Joy Division, BC, Bushwackers etc.

Mag, to be fair mate, Germany didn't have you guys (Joy Division) or the Russians and only one American team (Dynasty).

And the likelihood is, both Joy and Legion would have been expected to make it thru to the finals.

Now irrespective of whether the NXL teams can play or not, this is not 'very strong competition' as you put it.

It remains to be seen just how many Yank teams make the trip over for the remainder of the series.

Now I don't wanna piss on anybody's fire but let's not get too carried away here.

It is not only poor Millennium.

I think is also poor NPPL.
Not taking credit from Dynasty or any other PRO team, but 8 (more like 7) of the best teams in the world are not playing the real thing (NPPL or Millennium).
They are waiting for the "wonderfull TV deal" to come along.

Cheers

Dunno, my Top 8 at tha moment would be, in no particular order...

Dynasty - NPPL
SC Ironmen - NXL
Strange - PSP
Bob's Men - NXL
Miami Effect - NXL
Naughty Dogs - NPPL
Aftershock- NXL
Tontons- NPPL

With Philly Americans, Joy, Russians and NY Xtreme following close...

I totally agree. The standard of the Am teams in Germany and Portugal was very high, and i am very proud to have finished in 7th place, missing out on the finals by 7 points when i looked at the kind of Am teams that were there. As for the PROs, well, i think that the teams that played the best paintball over the 3 days were in the finals, and deserved their places. The standard was high, and will pnly get higher in the future

I feel that when you have the possibly the best american am and pro team ( paintballgateway and Dynasty) i dont see how it can be said that competition is poor.

Then you also have Teams like Shock, tigers, russian legion, joy, ugly ducks, ignition, scalp, syndicate, shock am.

it could go on forever with the amount of competition in the millenium series.

Ok

Sure in the Ams and Nov divisions, things are competitive and really interesting to watch.
But in the Pros, you must agree that without 90% of the Major American Teams, this MS it’s a poor Millennium.

Its more fun for the big European Sharks like Ton Ton and Joy to make the finals, but please be fair, it could be funnier for us funs if we also could watch them play against Ironman, BL, Lanche /Miami…
