Does anyone know if a polycarbonate paint (Faskolor and such) would bond properly with the plastic of an Ion shell? Not sure if the shiny nature of the shells would stop it sticking initially.

i dont know the answer to the paint question, but if you sanded it and applied plastic primer, you could spray with car spray paint if nothing else
Thanks for the reply, I've considered that but I've always found car spray paint disappointing, it usually cracks and flakes quickly.
This polycarbonate stuff apparently bonds to the plastic which would be ideal, just unsure as to whether an ion body is made of the kind of plastic it would work with.

To use car paint, you need a plastic primer, to help give teh paint room to flex, and some decent lacquer, and make sure teh body is clean, clean, clean...before you do it.

easy way to find out if your ion boady is polycarb or abs .
set fire to it if it gives off a black smoke its abs..
