Always better to wear some thing designed for the sport it's intended for wether it be breaking balls or cracking skulls... you don't want to take any un-neccesary risks, although I'm sure it'll be rated alot higher for police work.

if you are looking for something like that then perhaps take a look at Eye Tactical. http://www.eyetactical.com/ they have paintball specific items as well as producing training gear for the Military.

I can't echo enough that you MUST have something that is designed for paintball - you only have one set of eyes - PERIOD
