OK so I've read the bits on the shop websites about the PMR and ultralite but does anyone have any real world experience of using one and the benefits of it over the stock model?

ive used the stock one and alot of people do not like the trigger that you get with it, the ul frame gives you a new trigger which ived heard is quite good. Also i think the stock frame allows you to change the trigger guards seperatley whereas the ul frame doesn't.

I have the stock frame, and a Ultralight trigger(not frame).. I think it's all down to personal feeling and what you like more.. Plus I don't think you really need all the extras on the UL frame.

owned a pmr with ul frame
ul frame gives you a much more comfy grip to hold - slightly heavier than stock but the difference is minute also its a better build quality as it is made of aluminium and has a nicer feel to it due to the hourglass shape.
dye now only have 2 modes on the stock board due to gun laws in certain areas and no the hidden nxl mode is no longer there - it was never meant to be there. and so the board you get with the ul frame will be better - i believe they have 3 modes on still.
the trigger is better than stock but then i hated it cos it had too much side travel - i dont know whether this was just a problem with mine - it can be adjusted but it still has a load - i managed to get by it by getting some tape on the screw - it made the pull slightly stiffer but with some fine tweaking it ended up being fine.

however the stock frame you can change the buttons, you also have the option of the trigger guard being changed. - also aftermarket grips will fit. The ul frame has a shape such that aftermarket grips wont fit - hybrid brought some out but i have never seen them - you would have to ask lips - they would know.

the advantages of the UL frame also are the compability of the other UL board and triggers, though you have to buy new eyes in some cases if you buy an after market UL board. As stated the UL frame is heavier and you lose the ability to use the after market parts such as the trigger guard and power buttons. I think that for £20 it is something you may as well get, but if you wanted a NDZ or trinity frame it would mean a new board, grips and trigger. So it depends whether you are going to upgrade, as the stock frame PMR after market triggers such as the VP sycthe are very nice. Though there are compatible triggers for UL frame, some are not available in the same style as the standard PMR triggers
Only difference i can tell is the feel of it. You could probably make your gun look and feel better if you upgraded seperatly like i did. But again its down to personal prefence.
Personally the UL frame makes the marker more solid.
No more buttons to lose, no more battery harness to worry about breaking. No more rounding out the ASA grub screw, adjustment of the ASA position is easier, its more comforable to hold, and its black.
Yes it is compatible with UL frame boards, but the stock UL board is plenty fast.

i have a PMR with UL frame so much more than the stock frame. i prefere the feel so much more plus you cant break the battery harness like you could with the old stock one. id say the best thing to do is ask a guy with a DM6/7 weather you can hold it and see how it feels if you like the feel of it then go for it but if you justwant it for the trigger then go for a ndz one they are awsum. but ye the ul frame is so nice in your hand.
