PMR Troubles

Heyyy,

I recently tried to run some old paint through my marker, and the second I screwed in my bottle to my asa, I had all the air gushing straight back out the rear cap.

I took off the rear cap, looked at all the o rings, replaced about 6 of them that seemed critical to me and then chucked my tank back on. Same problem, I took it off again, and slapped a load of lubricant all over, then sort of wiped it down so it isnt like sludge; I screwed the bottle on slightly, and found the the air was coming out of the side of the cap, and through the little trench on the bottom of the threading. I also found that leaving the air on for a couple seconds forces the bolt forward, as I presume the pressure becomes too great.

The PMR is all stock, except with a metal cap. Condition is excellent, no dents or any of that.

Anyone help? I'd rather save a tonne of money than sending it off.

Have you cheaked that the HPR is at the right operating pressure...

Iv had this before, as there is no lpr on the PMR mrker, the HPR sorts all the air out. Try turning it all the way in so the marker will not fire and turn till firing at 280 over a corno...

HPR is at correct pressure, Hyper2 was at 280.

O-rings replaced:

All BN20 on exterior, forward portion of bolt.

ll BN15 on middle portion, exterior bolt.

BN 20 at rear of bolt, BN16 on rear cap, BN 18 on rear cap, BN09 on interior rear/middle portion of bolt.

All others left untouched, all o rings in reg are stock, not even touching that.

Hi

Have you got the bolt assembly screwed in all the way and aligned properly?

How much air was escaping when you screwed your tank on, a large rush, or a small trickle? Did you find that it sealed up after a moment, or that cycling the marker a couple of times solved the problem?

The bolt is correctly assembled/aligned.

The air was a full on rush, like I said from the lower (6 o clock position) portion of the back cap.

I screwed it on when I was on about 4.5k, and after screwing it completely on (so that it wouldnt rotate any further) i was on about 2.5/3. At this point it wouldnt cycle at all, nor would it seal up.

Sent it off to Sloth now anyway, see what happens there ;)
