Now having only recently got my PMR and not yet got to grips with its full capabilities, upgrading isnt necessarily something im looking to do just yet. However I would be interested to here peoples opinions as to what upgrades options are available and recommended.

if you dont like the trigger its a option but heard reports that some people like it

backcap on the bolt swap out for a metal one

barrel kit or a nice two part barrel but again only if you feel the need the stock proto barrel isnt all that bad

apart from that i wouldnt worry

As far as I am aware the only performance upgrades are:

Board - Tadao
Trigger - Dye
Back cap - No idea!
Barrel - various

For the moment I would leave it and spend money on paint instead!:)

Buy a back cap, after a while you will find it leaks out the back.

For my PMR i got:

Back Cap
Evil Pipe Kit (Its cocker thread)

There is no point getting tadeo unless you are going to go try and light up the likes of dynasty or naughty dogs.... or if you have the money and want to go full auto on some kid with rental tippman 98..... (funniest thing in the world, bring your PMR to woodsball :D the kids with the 98s who say "how can paint hurt you?". i oftern feel the need to demonstrate..... i waste alot of paint.....) the virtue laser eyes are quite cool, id get those next. Maybe a UL frame when it comes out (dont bother with the one for PM7 its heavier than PMR stock)

i would recommend the pipe kit, tis an awsome bit of kit (freak is overrated)

Maybe a metal trigger...

Hi Guys

Just to clear up any mis-understandings...

Whilst the aluminium back cap is a handy, and often prefered upgrade, it is not necessary, and your bolt will not mystically leak if you dont buy one.

As for the UL frame, it is not significantly heavier or lighter than the PM7 frame, besides, the PM7 frame does not fit on the Rail, and the Rail frame will not fit onto the PM7. The UL frame comes with a standard board (similar to that of the DM7), it has all the same modes and adjustable settings as the stock proto board, again, upgrading your board is not a necessity, the Rail will work perfectly well with the standard board.

There are a wide range of upgrade and accessory parts you can purchase for your Rail, the best thing to do would be to contact your local DYE/Proto authorised dealer and see what they have to offer.

Thanks

Thanks for that Ash.

As I say Im not really looking to upgrade, as in all honesty for me there is little point. Being very new to, well everything, I wouldnt understand how I was benefiting from any upgrades. At the moment I am just enjoying learning as much as I can about the sport and the gear and it was more out of interest that I asked about updgrades.
