Its all down to personal preference mate, have a shoot of both and have a good look at them and see which one you prefer. i currently own both, although the shocker is an older model, the 03.

I personaly prefer the pmr, it fires really nice, really light...sweet gun...just be carefull when u open it up as the wires are very very fragile! As for the shocker, there is a lot of maintainence involved, ie cleaning and lubing after every days play and giving it a good goin over. They tend to go down on you alot to...and not in the good way!!...alot of people have had a lot of problems with smart parts gats...but as i said..give em both a go and see which one u prefer...

hope that helps a bit mate

also depending on ur budget i recomend getting a dm6 or an 05/06 ego....as you will probabally get quite bored of the standard shocker or pmr quite quickly and be looking for something a bit better...which then causes u to spend even more money, when u could just boy a great gun straight off

They are both great guns. The PMR is a great out of the box gun, light and effcient. If you get a SFT shocker, then i assume you will buying second hand, so you will get a mildly upped shocker. Shocker has a lot of upgrades, but the effciency bolt is the main thing you want, that will get you a good shot count. I think you should shoot them both.

03-06 models are the same apart from the mid 04-early 05 models that came with a humphrey solenoid not the parker, and all the 05 onwards came with a gauge on the FRM.

and the bolt assembly has been changed over the years (usually a new bit redesigned for each year)

anyyyyywwaaaaaaayyyyyy

i find shockers to be fairly easy on the maintainance as long as you dont go messing around with stuff you dont need to (anything but the battery and bolt assembly) they will run all day long, if you find one with a efficiency kit about 1600 shots (average over all kits and settings) should be expected so thats nothing to grumble about.

they are super light as stock, have very little kick, and in all honesty i wouldnt want rid of mine for anything but another shocker.

as for pmr's i cant say really oonly ever used one when ive been chrony judge...seem like anything else from the DM/PM family

got to be on about a pmr there, ive never seen a plastic back cap on a shocker and it does take 3 rubber trees to make a dm/pm because of all the o-rings
