Hey guys,
Decided to sit down and fix my spare marker, as i know ive blown an o-ring.
So i tried to open the bolt cap, and realised that the allen key grip bit on the bolt cap has worn, and it cant grip the allen key. Plus i think that when I put the bolt cap back on the last time i took it off, i may have screwed it in too tight. I thought about trying to just force a larger allen key into the grip, but i think that may just make it worse.
So i kinda have no way of getting access to the bolt.
So i was just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem, or has any ideas that may work.

Thanks guys.

hi buddy,

that's not too bad tbh, as once you get the current back cap off then you can just get a replacement from just about anywhere and you should be able to get it off without damaging any other parts

the first thing i'd try would be a trox head screw driver, these are a star shaped head and works well if you get one slightly bigger than the allen key that the back cap should take, then wedge/hammer it in and use that to just unscrew it out

however if that doesn't work then you can basically chew the back cap up as much as it takes to get it out as you will have to get a new one anyway, so either some mole grips or cut a groove in it and use a flat head or something similar (just try not to get any of the dust through the hole into the bolt system

hope this helps
