pmi reg on/off

ok can i remove the top part of my pmi fixed output reg (the shiney silver bit) and screw a sp on off valve on there instead
it looks like there are two grub screws holding it in place can i remove these ?

Not sure mate bt i know u can buy an on off tap that will screw onto the end of ur pmi reg at Smart Parts

Best bet is to buy an on/off asa mate about £20/£25 they are

i've already got the on/off they'r about £7 from sp just wondering if i could shorten my setup

No you can't. The bonnet (the top bit) is an integral part of the reg body. If you remove that, all the small springs and stuff will fall out and it might even leak

The on/off ASA idea would solve the length problem, but it won't cure a leaky pin valve, a common problem on preset air regs (at least the usual type of on/off, which has a moving pin that opens and closes the tank's own valve.)

Think Woza to shorten his setup used an Eclipse drop line... only problem is you can't turn the air on/off with one of those, they do significantly shorten it down though

Like Rabies said - the shiny bit is part of the reg. Just get a drop and on/off asa.
