PMI Preset spring stack 3000/4500

Does anyone know it the output spring stack for the PMI Preset regulators is the same in 3000 and 5000 items.

I am looking to switch the low pressure stack from a 3000 psi reg into a high pressure 5000 psi reg and want to know if it'll work, or if I'm just being bl**dy daft?

The only diferences I can see is the colour of the body, the etching on the body and, of course, the burst disk ratings.

Something will be different, either the spring stack in the 5000psi will be longer or stiffer, or the cap will be shorter inside.

Tom, while your there, I'm sick of being slated for shooting an Angel, My defence is that I understand them and can work on them myself, they're good on gas and they rip!

Arguments against tend to be size, weight, lack of tech support, Millenium Ramping barrel choices etc.

Going by that, i'll start using an inferno.

All the above, but no battery to run out. and will continue to work even if i drop it in a river.....
