PM7 Eye Problem

When I switch my PM7 on the LED shows green for ball in breech, when there is none. When I dry fire the LED blinks to show eye malfunction and defaults to eye error firing mode.

Has anyone got any idea how I can fix this?

Hey Marcus,

Are the eyes clean? Unscrew the eye covers, give the eyes a clean (as well as the passages they sit in) and reassemble.

Also make sure that the eyes are plugged into the board correctly, with no pinches in the wire.

is the eye ribbon deffinately plugged into the board?

Thanks for posts. Although familiar with PM6's, (Lemonades old beast), I'm still learning about PM7 but I guess the principle is the same.

I've cleaned the eyes and the passages and they seem fine. As for making sure the ribbon is in or not, I've looked at it, but is there any way I can test it?

If I pull the ribbon out whilst on will it affect a change to the LED?

If you pull the eye ribbon out, it will still be green

Have you changed the battery lately?
Make sure the eye ribbon is fine, open the eye covers and check them. Also take off the grip frame to check the ribbon there.

Thanks MDking. Have done all of that including a fresh battery. one my mates has offered he thinks the eyes and eye ribbon may just need changing?

I've tried a different frame to the one I have and still get the same problem, so I think the eyes may have popped or the ribbon has got a short maybe.

I had my eye / eye ribbon changed by a Dye Gun Tech today. Works fine now. Thanks for help guys.
