hi all, i am from East Sussex and my dad has just bought 8 acres of woodland. If me and my brother wanted to have a few one on ones on our privately bought woodland, would I need any permission from anyone or have to speak to the council / environmental people about it? As the noise and paint on the trees would not please some people. Would I need to put up netting on the boundaries? I just want to know the legal requirements to play in your own purchased woodland. Cheers

If it's private land, with no public access, and a distance from 'public highways' which includes paths then it's legal
(Farmland is not private land in this case - it's a workplace accessible to other farming businesses such as vets, milk trucks, employees etc)

You do not need to put up netting, but do need to be able to 'secure' the area from passers by

If potential noise and paint on trees could be bothering others then that implies others have access or are in proximity and could render it illegal
