planet &pa's new rules ???

can any 1 coment if planet will have software to co inside with the pa's new ramping rules available ???

Spoke to Nick at planet today & was told that (for the Ego didn't ask about others sry) worse case senerio is that they will be at the next round to upgrade the firmware,personaly i am hoping that i can take a run over to planet before then & get it sorted.
Nick said they have it in hand but have had quite a few calls on the subject

the new zero b board has a capping facility, therefore when the software is released just set the 15bps cap and turn up the bounce

Only problem being that bounce is still off the menu - reason being that it's unsafe - a marker that can fire itself is bad news.

Does anyone know if they're likely to start selling the Zero B boards with the ramping mode/cap already on it, or if it's better go get it and have the software flashed later?

I know it's unlikely anyone will be able to answer this at the mo and i should just be patient....but it's worth a go.

I believe the idea (for Planet at least) is to exchange boards and away you go.
The Ego, E2, and E1 with Zero B boards will have software which complies with the new rules.
As for cost well thats down to all the companys to decide on.
I am trying to find any markers that can not be capped so I can put a list together.
If anyone has any info please post on here.

DM4/5/NYX fitted with musashi 3 chip

- Can be capped at 15bps semi and is adjustable in 1/4 bps settings
- Also has the psp mode which can be capped

I believe the same software is available for alias's, new shockers and proto trix's.

And more importantly the chip is lockable to prevent mode changes externally.

How about vikings? they aint tourney lockable on the was board
and a few of our guys are shooting them now too
