Hi all,

I really want to know what you the paintball community think to this one.

I have just been approached by the most fluffy effeminate man I have spoken to in ages regarding advertising in their GAY mag no it's not a contact mag or anything sleazy it's a life style mag.

They want to include paintball as they have covered shopping and clubbing to death who’s type casting here not me

I don't have a problem with any one personal orientation but as a whole paintball is very male and from what I have seen quite homophobic.

And sorry lads I don't think the Lipstick lesbians are in on this one.

What makes you say that?

Theres always homophobics in every sport, work place, clubs ect....

But ive not once seen or heard of any homophobic cases in paintball.

Im not disagreeing with you, just curious

This does then open the floor to are their any openly admitted Gay players or teams. This genuine interest from what some might call a group that may not play paintball as much is very encouraging. TO get exposure and dispel any myths that we are all homophobic or against women gay black or white playing the sport.

This was my point exactlly I did say to the young man in question I would be posting this up on disscusion forums and he said he would call me back next week. He was intrested to find out too

Me, I think it's about time Paintball had an all-gay team again...I mean, it's been years since tha Nam split up...

i dont think ive ever seen any discrimination against anyone in paintball...you do get the odd gun mad nut case i suppose but ive never met anyone on a site that anyone had a problem with.....personally i think its good to see somone obviously from out side of paintball taking an interest in our sport....if this guy wants to play ball personally i couldnt give a toss if he was gay straight or martian....let him play and express his opinons.

I don't think they'd get anymore stick than the girls that play get sexist comments, yeah there will be jokes but not outright hostility.

What i mean is if a prejudiced straight person or persons find that this sport is a keen interest of gays then they will make a fuss over this.

Im not saying this to be me, im sayign that there are a lot of people out there which can turn paintball's image into somethign which we wont like.........."Pball is for gays and heres the evidence to show it"

Thats just what "May" happen.
The parents who would rather not have their kids round this kind of enviroment would lead to a big dis-couragement on people who would take up the sport.

As you should know there are a lot of vindictive people in the media, politics etc.
