Today (Christmas eve) I spanked my car!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOH!
Coming round a right hander when traction decides to have christmas off, back end comes out, back left wheel catches the verge, i try to correct it, sort of do until i realise im on the verge.... bearing in mind it was pishing down, i skidded into loads of saplings until i hit a reasonably sized tree, travelled up it, flips me over onto my roof and then proceed to skid down the road on my roof!!!!!!!!!. I came to a halt and found myself hanging like a bat in the car......the only injury i have is from when i released my seatbelt and nutted the ground (well, the roof!)!
I find a pair of my shoes that were in the boot outside the car along with various posessions scattered around the place!
Further investigation into the scene show mud from a tractor pulling out of a field on the road, plus it was raining, plus my tyres had seen better days....
Irony is i was getting some new Toyo Proxes (Tyres) for christmas
Coppers said im lucky to be alive , thanks to VW for building a top motor built like a tank, it saved my life for sure....
Moral of the story, slow down in wet/mud/when you know your tyres have nearly had it!
