pi= uk tested bottle, illegal to fill in the us
dot= us tested bottle, illegal to fill in the uk
dot tested bottles will have DOT in the serial code
pi tested bottles will have the pi symbol on them somewhere.
They are just tested differently, and the uk won't achnoledge(sp!) us testing, and dot won't do the same for uk tested bottles, it's basically that simple, it's petty! Some companies (such as WDP) are releasing dual standard bottles though, which is good!

stupid realy, scince both standards dont accept the other as being safe, why cant we all live in peace and have one uniform test!
and just to be safty aware, what are the dangers of filling a pi bottle in america and visa versa
they could technically drill your tank, and probably will ban you from playing at that site again. It's just because the site could get in troube from filling the tank that's not legal there, despite it being brand new etc.
dont think that anyone will drill anything, they just wont alow you to play with that bottle ! !
but that are some contries, like in portugal, where you can use both, pi and dot, other thing is that dot have a 3 year test and pi have a 5 year test, although it seams some of the first pi botles also have a 3 year test ! !
