does anyone know if there any proper book/papers or whatever online or other wise that discuss the physics of paintball in detail, im thinking about doing it for an -level report if i can find enought material, the paper has to be between 2000 and 4000 words and on a fairly specific area, whilst still being able to mention other physics
on google now but not having much luck
any help appreciated guys

Seriously dude pick something proper. Paintball is a fun hobby/sport don't take it to far.

Why don't you do it on the the theoretical idea of what would happen if there was a hole straight through the earth via the core and you dropped a ball down it. You can look at a multitude of forces and work out the changes would affect the ball during its decent, rise and what would happen next.

Now thats a cool idea.

There is a ton of physics and mechanics involved in paintball. It is a physics based sport.

Trajectory of the paintball, gas pressure, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, impact forces, momentum

You could write 4000 words about why a paintball trajectory, magnus effects, gas pressures etc. Just use abit of imagination and think logically about it.

thats what i thought mate but we must use already reputable research and reports in our investigation, meh nevermind

I was in the exact same situation a couple of years ago, also wanting to do my Physics article on something paintball-related. I was thinking along the lines of the effect that varying the temperature has on the brittleness of paintball...Ended up doing mine on the viscosity of different liquids.

Maybe you could do something relating to the HPA and how changing the temperature affects its performance/consistency/etc?

Would be difficult to investigate the trajectory of paintballs in college ;)

this is a theoretical paper only no practical is involved in this part, would there be enough material to write about, im trying to think of everythong, but fearing i may have to use some boring regular physics...

i remember seeing on like a hammerhead barrel site or something.....that they put ball in a fast frame camera and the ball had a cross on it and it showed how the rifling affected the trajectory.....

check it out ...i don't im business not physics..
