Yes, it is just as confusing for us too - especially when you read that your team are having a profile done in PBUK, only to find out it is not your team.
Team Phoenix (originally us, now apparently just Phoenix) was started around 1990, Phoenix 5 were the guys from the Phoenix site who decided to start entering 5 mans and the new Team Phoenix (factory team) obviously want to use their business's name - so there we have it - 3 x Phoenix.
At the moment, we are all playing different leagues/divisions so it isn't really a problem and I don't think "sport" status is likely to cause any name change requirements in the foreseeable future.
Let's just say that it doesn't really bother us, especially considering that we were asked if it was OK if the factory Team Phoenix used the name too - I'm just glad there's a Team Phoenix out there doing well in an A division
and we're on pretty good terms with Phoenix 5 too.
So who knows what will happen in the next year or so, with the advent of more 7 man tourneys and teams losing players, poaching, fielding ringers/guests, amalgamating or splitting up - there could be a Phoenix Red, White and Blue!
or maybe none at all.
We'll probably all still be balling though, whatever the name.
