I was just wondering if anyone who has one of the newer phantom VSC's knows what the measurment of the allen wrench is to take off the quick change part so you can use a bottle instead of a 12 gram. Thanks

not too sure what you mean but if your ASA adapter is in place you just thread your bottle in it if that isn't the solution then you need an ASA adapter if they are able to fitted to the newer phantoms I have an original one lying in a draw somewhere
I am guessing that you are in the states though as very few this side of the pond still use pumps....i still use my sterling when there is a pump tourny but there are enough phantoms still out there for you to find the part you need.

Thank you

Thanks for your reply, I have the newer type phantoms that come with the quick change adapter stock. I have found it is a 3/8's socket measurment.

ha ha ok I am still no clearer in my mind what it is you need
other than the newer phantoms have a removable barrel my understanding was that they were identical to the original ones my phantom came with a "quick change" lol but i changed it straight away so i could put a micro ca on it . Perhaps you could find a link to a pic of the type you have so i could see what bit you need to change
Tyger is the man you need to talk to regarding "stock" conversions
so Tyger if you read this ...help this man out...

OK, just forget it already, I somehow got it off allredy with just my hands, and got a 4 ounce for it, I don't think i will be going back to 12 grams for a while:D

The VSC changer should screw right off!

The verticle 12 gram changer is a "Rat Attack" style of changer. It fits into ANY ASA. The verticle adapter is an ASA, and it should just slip right on there.

Alternatively, you can get a bottom line kit from CCI for a little cash, and it'll screw into the vert feed you already have. I converted my Phantom to vert feed with only a few problems (bad seals...) but that's easily fixed. :)

But, yeah, the 12 gram changer should screw out of the vert ASA, no wrenches needed. And, 4 ounce tank is a GOOD choice! :)

Center feed, 9 inche barrel, nice T-stock, 4 ounce tank, Speedball Diety. :)

Definetly, I love my 4 ounce, I stopped counting shots after 270! and they also are only 50 cents to fill at my field.
I am thinking about getting a stock, and was wondering what kind you recommend, snice I like my 4 ounce out front., also I was wondering if anyone knows how good the CCI alumminum is?

You get amazing air efficiency from a pump, eh? :)

The CCI stock barrels, the whisper ones, I've never had a complaint about them. Theyr'e all mostly medium bore, however, so paints like DIablo roll outta them.

Running a 4 ounce isn't STRICT SC legal, but it's good enough to get a lot of good practice in. Now running a SC Phatom on a 3000 CI NITRO bottle isn't legal either, but it's a lot more air efficient! :)

As far as stocks go, getting a CCI stock isn't a bad thing, since he can anno them to match your gun. And I know a guy who has one, and loves it. me? I just run a tank off the back.
