PGi July 2007 (220) Cover Shot Query

Just received my copy and looking on the front cover, the guy in the photo has some kind of neoprene barrel cover over his UL back.

I was just wondering if this had any practical application, or if he was just covering up the DYE logo? If for practical reasons, what are they? there's no porting on an Ultralite back, so it couldnt be to do with that. Is it just to promote bounce?

I think I read that they're illegal in the millenium and therefore some of the UK tourneys that play by mill rules. So you might wanna check that out.

We where going to stock them but then where told that all the tournaments are going to ban them so didn't bother i would just get a sticker for it instead.
