Why is it that walkon players pick up pods that don't belong to them???? And keep them!!!!!
I've had the same set of pods for 2 or 3 years now, and they ALL have my name on them and whatever sticker I felt was appropriate at the time and I've never lost a pod at a tourney permanently...I mean I've lost a pod, but then either that same day, or even months later, someone will walk up to me and hand it back. Yet, I get talked into playing walkon this past Sunday 'cause our practice gets cancelled and I forget, and drop one pod instead of tucking it into the back of my jersey and I go back to my bunker and it's gone! And when I ask everyone if they saw a pod with a name on it, no-one fesses up!!!
Now, it's not so much the cost of the pod, but the fact that some of the stickers on it are custom made and I kinda like them, if I don't have any extra that day, then I'm short 140 rounds when I start, and....well....it's MY pod!
If the game's not over yet, please don't pickup pods, and if someone asks you if you picked it up, fess UP!
If you're a kid and you ask me for one as a souvenir or because you think it's cool, I just might give it to you, but as you can tell, it kinda "Chaps my Hide" to have someone just grab it...
