peelaway mask

I have come up with somthing worthy of telling everyone.
It would only be very practical in touny or arena though, take a piece of clear packaging tape and put it on your lense. Make sure to smooth it out so their are no vision restricting air bubles. thenu need to fold the tape a part of the tape over so u can grab it when u need to. so if you get hit in the mask then u just peel if the tape so u dont run into stuff walking off the feild :D

or how about you just take the extra 2 minutes it takes to clean them. much less hassle and expense.also, if your gonna do this, your lense is just gonna break, coz every shot to the goggles is gonna weaken it. which i why u should always switch them after every goggle shot.

JT used to do them, called them tear off's. They were sold that you could remove "spray" back in woodland days - not cheating at all of course.

They also did them in colours so you could lay a tint over a clear lense.

They kinda faded away quickly.

The problem w/ packing tape is eventually you'll build up a residue from the glue and any dirt that sticks to it. You also need to find absolutely clear tape, or your visibility is shot. But a 50/50 mix of alcohol and water will cut right through the paint, and like mike said, its a lot of hassle. These types of systems do exist though, for laptop computers and palm pilots they sell packs of these sheets that stick right to the screen, and when they get dirty just peel them away, the tradeoff with them is reduced visibility and reduced screen life.

And mike, not to piss you off, but that warning is just a ploy by the companies to get players to buy lots of new lenses. They can take a decent beating before they break, and they're much more likely to develop spider web cracks around the stress points before they shatter, which is a good key for me to change 'em (which I've only had to do once in three years).

As already said they were called Tear-offs and they were just repackaged from the MotoX side of the biz and yes they are a nightmare from a reffing point of view, The JT Quick Tints were ok still have mine but a real hassle to fit in 'cos there was always a slight gap around some of the edges plus you only tended to use the one colour. The use of packing tape due to the chemical makeup of the adhesive could be actually harmful to the lens, my team have goggle stickers but the material they are made from IS safe to use on the lens (rather costly ISO tests had to be made for their use in certain enviroments)

Once again joe bob posts without doing any research

Greetings.
Lenses are made of LEXXAN.
They will take the blast from a 12 guage shotgun.
From a paintball point of view the only deteriation would be scratches and age.
Pro's change them when their sponsers give them new ones coz they dont want them playing in taty gear!!!
Gaz :D
