My sister has just had over £600 gone missing from her bank account, taken out from Bratislava!
From talking to the bank the most likely way of someone getting her bank account details is an employee of paypal taking them then sending them to an associate in Bratislava

My old account is something like verified super premier member and iv never had a problem with it in about 5 years.

But how safe do you really think paypal is?

iv always thought it was very safe as well, but this is making me rethink things.
I am pretty sure that paypal would have security measures to prevent things like this from employees other wise it would not have been able to get as big as it is today. as i said contact them and ask for details and see what they get back to you with.
Regards Christian

I've never heard of something like his happening before, I'm sure paypal has dozens of security measures to stop this kind of thing happening, just as Barclays or Lloyds etc would have measures to stop the same thing.

Something LIKE this happened to a mate of mine. He got a phone call from his bank asking whether he'd been in Russia lately as someone had withdrawn £400 or something. Obviously he was still in England and had no idea about it. It turned out that he'd use a cash point in Colchester town centre that someone had rigged to clone card details.

yeah shes been through all that. And at first they thought it could have been a number of things, but the bank told her it was most likely her using paypal to buy things.

its too late now, i was just wandering if anyone has had any problems with paypal?

Surely the bank would be able to tell you definitively where the money has gone? They can trace who you've sent cheques to, where you've withdrawn cash etc, I cant see why they couldn't do this. Also, if that is the case, is it not their responsibility to get your money back?
