Paypal - safe or not?

Did a search but couldn't find anything specific...

Am I write in assuming that if someone pays by paypal for paintball goods (or any other goods for that matter) and then 30 days down the line, when the goods have shipped the buyer turns out to be a fraud, the credit card issuer can chargeback the amount from your bank account and there is jack **** you can do about it?

Just checking I'm not being overly cynical...

it depends how the payment was done.

if it was just a CC payment using paypal them yes, i have had paymnet cancelled on me b4.

if they pay from paypal using their account, then no. the best way is to get them to tranfer the funds to paypal and then pay you from the money stored on their paypal account. pretty sure they cant cancel that, well, not so it effects u anyway.
