I was hoping if anyone could shed some light on this. UK law does not consider paintball markers to be firearms, so there's nothing directly disallowing the use of Paypal in their sales that I can find in their Terms and Conditions or their Acceptable Use Policy. However, it's Paypal and Paypal are known to be sketchy in their interpretation and handling of their own rules all over the internet.

Does anyone know for certain what their stance on it is, and if not does anyone have any horrifying annecdotes/placating tales of personal experience to share?

EDIT: Oh, I'm a derp. I found the answer almost immediately after I asked. By typing "paintball" into Paypal's Help Center. Sorry for the bout of stupid. The answer is it's fine, for anyone reading this who doesn't know and is interested and is equally bad at using search functions.

well fortunately i've never had to try and resolve any issues with paypal, but as far as i have been able to determine, so long as you are truthful about the purchase (i.e. saying it is a PURCHASE OF GOODS and not PAYMENT OWED) then if something goes wrong they will start the process of investigating the problem. however they are very clear about saying that if you say it was just a payment owed then they will do sod all about it.
