So, has the decision to make the Paris Millennium event an Open event been worthwhile... have we seen an influx of US teams or have the regular competitors simply lost one of the ranking events for no good reason at all?

Well one thing didn't help Syd was the fact that Chicago was at the weekend, so a lot of normal Teams couldn't afford to play it!!

The Millenium series and PSP don't seem to notice this, just like the world cup which 2 weeks before the last Millenium, and again some european Teams won't be able to play both!!

Having just taken a look at the team list, the only one is VisioUS Army in M5, so I don't think so. The top three Divs are contracted to play, there are a few D2 teams staying away as its a non points scoring round, even M5 isn't full, unusual for a French event. Maybe the experiment hasn't worked too well, however, the M5 race to 2 format will be interesting to observe.
