Me and friends are starting a team and were wondering, a few of us have a Paraniha, and we were wondering if we could use them in a tourny. For Ex: paraniha EXT pro g3 armson steal barrel and a electronic handle grip.

Of course you can use them in tournaments. But if you have a electronic trigger you have to set it on semi-auto I think...not that I can say anything from experience.....

Piranha's can be used in any tourney's but if your thinking of getting new Piranha's with electro frame for the same amount of cash i'm pretty sure you could get a far better 2nd hand electro (i.e Bushy) or a new cocker (if they float your boat).... work out how much cash you've got spend and have a look around on the paintball city or pbnation or at your local sites and see if you can pick up a decent electro for the same amount of cash..

Damn Straight

Yeah Pirahnas can be used at tourneys, the DUPS (my team) borrowed site pirahnas from our sponsor, 6th Element Paintball, to play in the series 2001 (in the UK). We (as total nebies) won some games, and by the end of the season we had mostly bought our own kit (though mine went down and I played most of Simply The Best Speedball with a pirahna, which was sweet all day), but the reason we were winning more games (we finished 4th in our division) was probably at least as much to do with experience as the kit we were using.

As a starter tourney marker you can feel bit out-gunned, but until you have got used to playing tourney then ask to try out other people's kit and decide what you want. Second hand deals are often pretty good, but if you end up wanting a brand new custom angel, then you'll have had time to save up before having to fork out, and it may save you the expense of an intermediate marker.

Having said that... don't let anyone sucker you with the "Its the man not the marker" if you are not the best player in the world, its a hell of a lot easier to win with superior kit.

You don't need to wait to start tournaments. Get out there and play as many of em' as you can. Steve is right, dont get a Pihranha and an electro frame, get a regular electro. A Bushy or an Impulse. Dont go for an em1, I've played with one, they suck.
