Palm -> Race cable.

Does anyone know if I can use a combination of a Palm M100 serial cable and my Race PC Cable to get the Palm hook up to work wihtout having to buy a Palm cable.

Is it just a matter of using a gender changer to join the 2 cables together?

Should be ok, since the race uses RS232 standard and I'm assuming the plam does too. So as long as the adaptor gets the recieve/transmit wires the correct way round then it should work fine. If not you'd just need to buy a null modem adaptor (an adaptor that swaps RX/TX).

as far as i can remember the cables are the same but one of the wires needs to be swop'd. if u look on the race site there is a thread on this

It's probably the transmit/receive wires that need crossed.
