He might have been molested by Mags as a newbie. Or possibly he could have tried to sell his and couldn't get hardly a dime for it...I barely did for mine. I unfortunately bought one just as they were going out of fashion in my area: within two or three months Mag resale values for everything on them went from $600 to $300, literally giving the gun away free with purchase of all the extras. The king of tournament guns went from Mag and RT to Angel and Defiant so quickly I was stuck with last week's news even though everyone badass had just had one themselves for years. It still pisses me off to this day that I lost $250 in depreciation in half a year.
I dunno. I didn't really like mine for too long, having gone thru at least 3 reg seats, 5 or 6 nubbins (which I DESPISE), and too many broken balls in the breach. Of course after I sold it I realized that something I was doing wrong a lot of the time was that I'd screw in the on/off knob to my tank too far and choke off the gas flow, and then blame it on the Mag being slow to recharge. Oh well, live and learn, and I was much happier with my Shocker anyway. If Mags had just gone down in new price as their used price did, or if I'd bought one used after the price drop, I -might- still own one, probably retro'd and Hyperframed.
